Florida Highway Patrols Accused in Ticket Quota Scandal After Being Asked to Write Two Tickets Per H

Florida Highway Patrols have for decades been casting fear upon our fellow local citizens by methodically plotting on strategies to stop you while you're simply commuting to work. According to the Orlando Sentinel, the second-highest ranking official within the Florida Highway Patrol system has retired amid an ongoing review about ticket-writing quotas for sworn in Florida Highway Patrol Officers. To elaborate, lieutenant Michael Thomas resigned promptly after it was discovered that he sent an email in late May that encouraged local Florida troopers to write two tickets an hour to meet a certain quota. In concordance with my Palm Beach Post, another scandal arose this year as a memo surfaced that showed troopers in Miami-Dade County who met their ticket-writing goals in March, got a paid weekend off in April and the memo read "Sergeants, please get with these members and schedule their weekend pass,”.
