FIU Now Promises to Pay for Full College Tuitions if You and Your Family Members Cannot Afford it.
If you're a new coming freshman ready to work diligently and commence your studies at Florida International University but do not have sufficient funds to pay for college, you might just be in luck right now. FIU has pledged to to pay for all the 2017 freshman class who's family members simply cannot afford to help them pay for college. According to FIU News and FIU's president Mark Rosenberg, this new aid for students referred to as the "Golden Promise", removes all economic barriers for students who are academically qualified and ready to work hard at FIU. The Golden Promise also guarantees all the 2017 freshmen that their tuition will be covered if they are Florida residents and have an Expected Family Contribution income of zero in concordance to FIU News. This new approach for paying for college will also cover summer classes which regular financial aid does not cover. If you attended FIU regularly in the past five years and have student debt from loans, this assistance does not pertain to you as you are still mandated by the federal government to pay for them.
