Studies Reveal Buying a Home in Miami Can Hurt the Economy.
Miami residents have always been in a quandary, when measures present themselves to purchase ones first home here in South Florida. According to the Miami Herald, recent studies have confirmed by career networking sites such as Linkedin and Trulia, that the city of Miami is ranked last amongst 40 other major U.S. cities where recent graduate career opportunities were evaluated. This could potentially sabotage the South Florida economy, as skilled college graduates may flee Miami to seek better career opportunities and home market prices elsewhere. Nurses in Miami making $90,000 a year still find it difficult to purchase a home here in South Florida, as home values have astronomically incremented within the last five years. Miami's cost of living could potentially wipe out its middle class, leaving Miami as a city for only the wealthy.
