Florida Senate Members Pushing to Eliminate Red Light Cameras.

Florida Senate members are scheduled to meet today in Tallahassee (Florida's capital) to conduct a comprehensive meeting discerning whether Florida will continue to enforce red light cameras across the sunshine state. According to WPLG, red light cameras generate millions of dollars in income for Florida's local government and yielded nearly $60 million for the state budget last year, in concordance to the state Department of Revenue. If red light cameras are removed from the city of Miami, it will make a colossal difference for drivers all across South Florida by relieving the perturbation of paying excessive traffic fines. The proposal that would eliminate the red light traffic cameras is scheduled to go before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee today.
