Governor Rick Scott Fights to Lower College Cost Amongst Florida Students.
Florida governor Rick Scott has been vigorously insistent lately, as the 45th governor of the sunshine state has belligerently advocated on the reduction of college cost for all native Florida students. According to NBC 6 News Miami, governor Scott is aiming at renewing his proposal of eliminating sales tax on all college textbooks and also wants to expand Florida Bright Futures to cover the cost of summer undergraduate courses. Scott is also aspiring on the blocking of tuition hikes at public state universities and plans to relinquish any other fees college students are currently bombarded with when registering for classes. State legislators are expected to meet with the Florida governor in March to discuss the following proposals.
