Miami Accepts Proposal for Jose Fernandez Avenue.
Yesterday South Florida's County commissioners gathered to discuss a long anticipated proposal, which has been in speculation since 24 year old Marlins superstar pitcher passed away earlier this year in September. The proposal approved the city of Miami Dade County to rename a portion of 17th avenue along side the Marlins Stadium as Jose Fernandez Avenue in concordance to the SunSentinel Sports. A few days ago, the young Cuban American's toxicology report revealed a substantial portion of Cocaine and alcohol in the young pitchers blood system, which coincides with the impairment of his other close friend's who were operating the boat vessel he was on. With many Miami Marlins fans still mourning the loss of this vibrant young sports icon, they will find joy and fulfillment in the approval of the soon to come Jose Fernandez Avenue.
