Cubans in Miami Celebrate as First Commercial Flight from the United States Arrives in Cuba.

Yesterday at approximately 9:45 am eastern time, the first commercial flight to Cuba in 50 years from the United States arrived in Santa Clara Cuba. This historic milestone displays the advancement in diplomatic ties the United States and Cuba had established back in 2014, under the president Barack Obama administration. According BBC news, the Obama administration has officially approved ten airlines to fly from the United States to Cuba, which will include American Airlines, Spirit Airlines, and Jet Blue airlines. With an ample population of Cuban American's in Miami, yesterday they all celebrated as the first of many flights to Cuba embarked on a journey to their native land. This is great news for South Florida's immense Cuban population as flying from Miami to Cuba will take less than an hour by commercial airline.
