Miami Beach becomes first city in Florida to raise minimum wage.
Miami Beach has become Florida's first major city to raise the minimum wage to $13.31 to all the city's local working constituents. The proposal was declared by Miami Beach mayor Phillip Levine, who perceived the city's cost of living to be exceedingly high. With the minimum wage still $8.05 to all other South Floridian's, Miami News Today would like to ask you the following question. Should the City of Miami follow the same footsteps as Miami Beach to increase wage to all South Floridian's? The wage increment could alleviate a lot of South Florida's middle class and low class working families, from working two or more unnecessary jobs to make ends meet.
