State Senate Dwight Bullard Predicts Marijuana Legalization in this Years Florida Ballot.
Florida State Senate member and former Coral Reef Senior High School teacher Dwight Bullard representing the 39th district of Florida, was cordial enough to interview with Miami News Today. The Democratic Senate member up for re election this year spoke to us on behalf of his views of the legalization of Marijuana. When we asked Bullard on his take of the legalization of Marijuana in Miami, the senate member answered," I definitely believe that medicinal marijuana will be legal following this election year. The legislature still needs to expand access to a broader group of patients. I will also continue to push for recreational use and/or statewide decriminalization. I applaud the efforts by Miami-Dade County to lessen the criminal charges related to possession of marijuana, but we can do more". Bullard also stated that he will continue to put forward legislation centered around making life better for the "Everyday Floridian". This included raising the minimum wage and fighting for social justice. With a Marijuana dispensary already opening in Tallahassee, South Florida trails closer to legalizing the long awaited contentious plant.
