Governor Rick Scott Confirms Zika Outbreak in South Beach
South Beach has become the second hazardous zone in Miami Dade County, where the dreadful Zika virus is being spread locally. Florida governor Rick Scott confirmed this past Friday, that the maleficent disease had been spreading in a 1.5 square mile area, within the Miami Beach radius. According to WSVN, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a travel warning advisory, prompting local pregnant women and spouses to avoid the new atrocious breeding area. Miami being a city that thrives economically from tourist and local constituents, could potentially face a temporary recession in its local businesses, as government officials are advising everyone to avoid the commercial South Beach area. With Wynwood already experiencing harsh economic downfalls in business's revenue, South Beach could be heading in the same imperiled path which could detrimentally harm Miami's economy.
